The Seeding the Future Foundation has officially opened applications for its highly anticipated 2024 Challenge. Organizations and innovators in the food systems sector are invited to submit proposals for funding, with applications accepted from November 1, 2023, through January 6, 2024.
The Challenge offers three categories of awards: Seed Grants, Growth Grants, and the Seeding the Future Grand Prize, designed to support transformative projects that address food security, sustainability, and innovation.

- Seed Grant Recipients Announcement: February 2024
- Growth and Grand Prize Finalists Announcement: March 2024
- Finalist Interviews: May 2024
- Award Recipients Announcement: June 2024
Application Requirements:
Applicants are required to submit the following materials:
- Completed Application Questions – detailing the project scope and goals.
- Project Timeline and Budget – including a comprehensive financial outline.
- Organizational and Financial Verification Documents – specific to the applicant’s legal status:
For-Profit Organizations must provide financial statements, incorporation documents, and tax details.
US-based Non-Profit Organizations must submit their latest 990 form or IRS determination letter.
International Non-Profits need proof of registration and financial documentation equivalent to a US public charity.

Eligibility and Restrictions:
Applications from organizations in countries or territories subject to U.S. sanctions—such as Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and certain regions in Ukraine—are not eligible. Late or incomplete submissions will not be reviewed, ensuring a fair and equitable selection process.
