SWIT Accelerator Opens Applications for Agritech and Deep-Tech Startups in Southwest Nigeria

The Southwest Innovation and Technology Company Limited, SWIT, an innovation subsidiary of the Odu’a Investment Company, has announced the launch of its 2025 SWIT Accelerator Programme, a seven-month pathway designed to help research-driven startups in agriculture, energy, health, and climate technology move from laboratory proof-of-concept to real-world commercial impact.

The initiative aims to strengthen the innovation ecosystem across Southwest Nigeria by equipping scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs with the tools, capital, and market access needed to build scalable ventures that address pressing regional and global challenges.

The accelerator is structured in two phases, a four-month pre-accelerator (November 2025 to February 2026) for 40 startups, and a three-month accelerator (March to May 2026) for the top 10 ventures.
Successful participants will receive up to $50,000 in equity investment, pilot opportunities with Odu’a subsidiaries, and follow-on funding from a network of strategic investors.

Eligible ventures must be research-based, science-driven, and pilot-ready, capable of testing their solutions with real customers within 6 to 12 months. Agritech startups tackling food security, sustainable farming, or climate-resilient production are particularly encouraged to apply.

Beyond funding, selected teams will gain access to industry mentors, sector specialists, legal and business development experts, as well as direct support from Odu’a’s corporate partners for pilot deployment.

SWIT’s Managing Director said the initiative reflects Odu’a’s vision to “catalyse socio-economic transformation in Southwest Nigeria through innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship.”
