  • The startupbootcamp BOLD2 is a 3-month hybrid accelerator based in Amsterdam, designed for early-stage startups innovating across the food and agriculture value chain.
  • Participating startups receive €25,000 in cash, plus a “deal kit” of in-kind support valued at over €100,000 from premium partners.
  • The program targets solutions in thematic areas such as vertical farming, ag-fintech, precision agriculture, alternative proteins, sustainable packaging, and supply chain optimization.
  • Founders benefit from hands-on mentorship (with over 100 industry experts), investor matchmaking, corporate partnerships, and a global community to help scale their business.

Deadline: 7th December, 2025

Startupbootcamp BOLD2 Food and AgriTech is set to kick off in January 2026 and runs for three months, blending online learning with on-the-ground networking in Amsterdam.

It’s aimed at early-stage founders who are genuinely trying to shift the needle in food and agriculture, whether that’s through vertical farming, alternative proteins, precision agriculture, sustainable packaging or any of the other core focus areas the programme highlights.

The accelerator itself has quite a pedigree. Startupbootcamp has been around since 2010 and has supported more than 1,700 companies, with some impressive exits along the way.

The wider ambition is bold too: investing in 100,000 startups by 2030 in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It gives the whole thing a sense of urgency, but in a good way, as if they’re trying to rally founders who want to build things that actually matter.

Founders accepted into BOLD2 move through a pretty structured journey. They receive a €25K cash investment, access to exclusive startup deals worth over €100K, and guidance from a large network of mentors, investors and corporate partners.

The programme puts quite a bit of emphasis on readiness: commercial, technological and investor-focused. So you get masterclasses on everything from fundraising and market fit to impact measurement and tech architecture. It feels like the sort of environment where an early-stage startup could finally get its loose ends tied up.

Eligibility is fairly straightforward. Startups should be pre-Series A, ideally have a working prototype or at least early traction, and a team of two or more who are open to proper mentorship.

The selection process involves applications, interviews and a final pitch event, with only ten startups making the final cut. By the end, those selected walk away not just with an accelerator badge but long-term support through alumni resources and ongoing community events.
