Phil Bicknell has announced that he will be stepping down as Chief Executive of the UK Agri-Tech Centre, marking the end of a significant chapter for the organisation.

Having played a critical role in the merger of three key centres—Agri-EPI, CIEL, and CHAP—last year, Bicknell feels the time is right to explore new career opportunities.

During his tenure, Bicknell spearheaded the transformation of the UK Agri-Tech Centre into a leading force in the agri-tech sector.

One of his key accomplishments was successfully merging the three centres in 2024, which has laid the groundwork for continued growth and innovation in the agri-tech space.

Under his leadership, the centre expanded its influence, gained larger commercial contracts, and increased its network.

Reflecting on his time with the organisation, Bicknell expressed his pride in the milestones achieved. “I am proud of the milestones that the organisation has achieved, such as merging three centres; growing the number, scale, and value of agri-tech innovation work that the company is involved with; and growing our network and influence,” he said.
