Farmless, a Dutch biotech startup reimagining the future of food, is recruiting for a groundbreaking food application role aimed at transforming fermentation-based proteins into irresistible culinary products. Based in Amsterdam, the position offers a unique opportunity to join one of agritech’s most ambitious ventures, promising not just a job—but a front-row seat in reshaping global food systems.
The company is calling for a food technologist or culinary innovator with at least two years of experience to develop nutrient-rich, sustainable, and scalable food products using Farmless’ proprietary protein. The role blends food science, creativity, and commercial strategy, requiring the candidate to refine formulations, optimize taste and texture, and organize sensory demos for potential partners.
This comes as Farmless pushes beyond the limits of photosynthesis by replacing crop-derived sugar feeds with a renewable energy-based fermentation platform. The startup claims its process is up to 5000 times more land-efficient than animal farming—a potential leap in planetary carrying capacity.
Farmless has already secured €9 million in funding from top-tier investors including World Fund and Vorwerk Ventures. Its technical team includes veterans from the Vegetarian Butcher, Noma, and Perfect Day, placing it at the intersection of culinary excellence and deep fermentation science.
