Dhanuka Agritech has launched a groundbreaking initiative aimed at transforming apple farming in Kashmir through advanced scientific management techniques.
The “Scientific Apple Management” program, unveiled at an event in Srinagar, is designed to address the challenges faced by apple farmers in the region, including pest control, disease management, and boosting overall crop yield.
The initiative offers a comprehensive range of innovative solutions, focusing on improving farm productivity and sustainability. Dhanuka Agritech introduced a set of specialized products, including “MIYAKO” (a miticide), “DELIGHT” (Dodine), and “CURSOR” (Flusilazole), which are specifically formulated to tackle common apple diseases and pests like Apple Scab, red mite infestations, and leaf fall.
By applying these advanced, eco-friendly solutions, the program aims to reduce the reliance on conventional pesticides, ensuring higher-quality produce while maintaining environmental health. The products also promise to boost the profitability of apple growers by helping them yield healthier and more abundant crops.
Dhanuka Agritech has partnered with several institutions, including the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and local agricultural universities, to ensure the success of this initiative. These collaborations bring scientific research and practical farming techniques together, offering localized solutions to the farmers.
The company’s engagement with the local farming community is expected to empower them with knowledge, training, and resources, ultimately enhancing the apple farming sector in Kashmir.
