Agrobiomics, a leading Nordic bio-agriculture company, has been awarded a €1.5 million grant from the Danish Green Development and Demonstration Programme (GUDP) to support its BIORESCUE project.
This significant funding will accelerate the company’s efforts to develop and validate a natural metabolite-based biostimulant, PTA, designed to enhance the resilience of cereal crops to drought and other climate-related stressors.
The BIORESCUE project will involve a collaborative effort between Agrobiomics, the University of Copenhagen, Agrolab, and SEGES Innovation P/S.
The project will utilize advanced screening tools and rigorous field-testing methodologies to assess the efficacy of PTA in improving crop performance under various environmental conditions.
“We are thrilled to receive this substantial support from GUDP,” said Ananda Scherner, CEO of Agrobiomics. “
This funding will enable us to significantly advance our research and development efforts, bringing us closer to delivering a truly impactful solution for farmers facing the increasing challenges of climate change.”
