The USDA Food for Progress Program is accepting proposals to support agricultural development and food security in developing countries and emerging democracies.

About The Program:

The Food for Progress Program provides donations of U.S. agricultural commodities to developing countries and emerging democracies committed to introducing and expanding free enterprise in the agricultural sector. The commodities are sold on the local market, and the proceeds are used to support agricultural development activities

Eligibility:

  • Government agencies
  • Intergovernmental or private organizations
  • NGOs
  • Universities
  • Cooperatives
  • Other private sector partners involved in agricultural development

Priority Countries:

  • Kenya
  • Colombia
  • Vietnam
  • Ethiopia
