The 25th edition of the African Nutrition Leadership Programme, ANLP, is set to take place from March 10 to 20, 2026, in South Africa, offering a unique opportunity for agricultural technology professionals to lead the charge in tackling Africa’s nutrition challenges.
Hosted by Africa Nutrition Leadership, the program will be held at the serene Elgro River Lodge, providing a perfect setting for leadership development in the field of nutrition and agritech innovation.
This intensive, 10-day program is designed to enhance leadership skills, team-building abilities, and self-awareness, all within the context of nutrition and its vital intersection with agriculture.
By focusing on critical leadership development, the program provides an ideal platform for professionals in agritech to gain essential tools for addressing Africa’s pressing nutritional challenges. Participants will have the chance to learn how to better communicate and contextualize nutrition information, which is crucial in bridging the gap between agriculture, food production, and healthy eating.
The Crossroad of Leadership and Agritech
The ANLP is tailored to individuals with a background in nutrition, with particular emphasis on postgraduate qualifications, postdoctoral fellows, and those with relevant experience in the field. While the program traditionally attracts nutrition professionals, it offers a compelling opportunity for those in the agritech space to broaden their impact on the continent’s nutritional landscape. By incorporating modern agricultural technologies, participants can help drive solutions that blend both nutrition and innovation.
The program’s residential format encourages participants to immerse themselves fully in this transformative experience. Conducted in English, the program is designed to foster communication skills that can facilitate cross-sector collaboration between nutrition and agriculture. However, it’s important to note that there are additional costs for accommodation, meals, and other logistical expenses, bringing the total cost to approximately €1,800 (around $1,990).
